Out With Pete Today

Pete's First Cast Walleye
Rock Dock Pike

4:30-5:30PM Sullivan Inlet, GOMH, Bulldog,  Rock Dock
7:00-8:30PM Eddy's Jetty
54-40℉, Sunny, 0-3 WSW
Sunset over Bordon Lake
After the Vikes beat the Jets, Pete didn't feel like going out in the Trophy, so we shore fished instead.  Nothing at the Sullivan Inlet, Culvert, GOMH, or Bulldog Lake.  I got the small Pike off of Rock Dock.  I then suggested we go to Garrison for Pizza.  That turned into us stopping at 3 places, none of which were Broadway Pizza.  Then Pete wanted to go to Grand Casino for the buffet, but then we decided to just go to Eddy's.  We checked out The Launch at Eddy's but didn't eat their either.
21.5" Speed Shad
I had to get into my cool weather fishing gear, so I was doing that while Pete was pretty much ready to go immediately.  Next thing I know Pete is yelling for me to bring him some pliers.  He caught a walleye on his very first cast off the North Corner.  I brought my tackle bag and camera out to him and took the picture.  I then went and got dressed and joined him.  I think I had a bite on my first cast with the Speed Shad.  I fished down the Jetty.  Pete took off for the South Jetty.   I was fishing the harbor mouth and was making my last cast with the Speed Shad when the 21-incher inhaled it.  Pete had a fish follow him in, but not hit.  He came back to the North Jetty.  I tried a Rippin Rap, X-Rap, and X-Rap Shad Shallow.  Pete had one get off.  I had one get off on the Jerk Shad.  Pete was sick of casting and went to the car.  I caught a 16-incher and called it a night even though I wanted to keep fishing.  A boat came into the harbor when I was packing up and we compared notes.  They had gotten 6 eye's with a  couple of 25-inchers.
