Morning GOMH & Rock/Next Evening Ditto

One of two otters
6:25-8:15AM
Conditions: Low 50's, windy out of the WNW, Cloudy

Got nothing at the GOMH.  Saw the two otters, a flying loon, and eagle.  I went to Bulldog, worthless.  At Rock I had a small pike hit my Fluke and land on the Rock Dock.  It flopped a few times and went back in the lake.  That was the only bite I had.

8/25/15
Skunked, but the Twins won and the wind died down.

8/26/15
Beautiful calm night.  I decided to go at 8PM.  The GOMH was covered, so I headed to Rock.  Got skunked.  Only fished for 20 minutes before it was dark.

GOMH & Rock

14.5" Super Fluke
4:30-6:30PM
Conditions: Overcast, low 60's, windy out of the W SW, water level low on P/S and normal on Rock

I won a 7' St. Croix Avid MF rod on Ebay that I'm thinking of using for Flukes and Senko's.  I got a reel on it yesterday and went and tried it out today at the Grumpy Old Man Hole;  I immediately caught the 14.5" and a 13" jumpin' bullhead on it under the bridge on the NE side.  I then missed a hit on the Fluke and on the Piranha.  I went to the SW side and caught and got this toothy on the Piranha.
19.5" D & M Piranha bluegill
Seeing as we have been having Fall like weather this week, getting over and trying Rock Lake was also on the agenda today.  I was surprised that the water level appeared to be normal.  I managed to pull a 17" out of the Rice to the South of the dock.
17" Spro Frog

That was all I got.

I Got One At The GOMH Tonight

14" Slush Minnow
8:05-8:40PM
Conditions: Hazy sun w/ some clouds, light S wind, 70's

I got out tonight for the first time in 12 days.  I was the only one at the GOMH.  It hit under the bridge on the NE side.  I also had something miss the Horny Toad along the emergent weed line on the NE side.

One Bite, One Bullhead

20" Piranha
6:20-7:10AM
Conditions- 64 degrees, overcast, little to no wind

I decided to hit the GOMH seeing as how we got some rain on Thursday.  It didn't do anything for the lake level, but did produce some current.  I got the one fish.  Didn't go to the cabin because mother nature was calling.

Windy Cloudy Morning In The Slop Slip

17.5" Spro black/white

6:00-9:30AM
Conditions: Comfortable, breezy of the ESE, Cloudy, some light rain

I headed out of the reed point.  I got 3 small pike on the Piranha.
18" Piranha
I moved in to the slop and missed a good one on the frog, then on the Slither Rig, then possibly a dogfish on the frog.  Finally I got the 17.5".  That was my last bite.

No Skunk This Morning

14.25" D & M Piranha bluegill
6:00-8:15AM
Conditions: Sunny, Light wind out of the E, 60-53 degrees.

For the first time in my last 3 trips I finally caught something.  I started at the GOMH this morning and didn't even get a bite.  I lost a fish there yesterday and on the previous trip on a Slush Minnow.  The water level is low and the GOMH seems to be broke.  I got the one in the picture and a small Pike on the Piranha off the Reed point.  There was a lot of baitfish out there flitting around but I couldn't get a topwater hit.  There really wasn't anything getting hit on topwater.  I think I'm going to give it another try this evening.
