I picked up Jaimen and we headed to the Intersection. Jaimen got a bite where I missed the fish last night. After the fish didn't hook up at least 3 different times Jaimen finally brought in the pike. We then went to a spot Jaimen is really high on in the NW reeds. Jaimen had one or two fish bury him in the reeds. I put the first bass in the boat with a fish that was hooked under the chin. Something got blown up in the reeds. As we were on our way there I got a 14-incher that I finessed through the reeds. Good thing I did that because it was barely hooked. Jaimen lost a fish on a swim jig right after that.  We were going to head back to Platte Lake when Jaimen got word his buddy had arrived. I dropped Jaimen off and headed for South Inlet Bay. Heard activity and got some pike. Finally got a bass blow up at Center R/R/P. I set the hook and only my empty Power Clip came back at me. Easy come easy go. I worked my way all the way to the Cookie Jar getting a couple more pike

I wanted to be out fishing by 5PM.  That didn't work out for me because I didn't know what the issue was with the Expedition, so I had to wait for the Kia. I got to the Lake at 6PM, quickly loaded the boat and headed to Double Cane. Conditions were ideal. I missed the first fish to swirl on me due to the reeds. I then put a cast to the Cane/Reed edge and the 5lber crushed it. Sucky Ducky, what a great start!  I then had a good fish bury me in a patch of thicker reeds/pads. I got a pike out of the reeds. I got the 3lber as I came around the NE edge of the Cane. I then headed to the rice to the North. In an open spot I got a 15-incher and then had the 4lber choke the frog. The 4lber put on an aerial show and I thought it was going to be another 5lber. While I was landing the fish a duck hunter with the loudest motor I've ever heard and felt, came cruising past me headed East through the slop. I didn't get another blow up the rest of the night. I did have a fish dog me on the Northside of the cane. Jaimen and his buddy came by and they got one small bass. I switched to Big Bass Point hoping fish might be going there, but I got nothing. It's a bummer I didn't get out earlier and a bummer the duck hunter had to come by. I am pretty sure I would have landed a couple more pigs had that not happened.

In sprinkled just for a second as I was backing the boat out. I went and picked up Jaimen and headed to South Point Small Island. Jaimen caught a pike I think. I missed a bite on the craw tube because I was moving towards the bite. We then headed to the intersection. Didn't get a bite on the point. So we headed to the SW R/R line. Jaimen got the first bass of the morning there on Grapes of Wrath. He lost a couple bass. We got to the juice and commenced to whack 'em on frogs, jigs, and craw tubes. Unfortunately, we didn't convert on the bigger bass. Jaimen caught the big fin in the sparse rice toward the back. When the fish were finally done we worked back around the Intersection. I was totally unprepared when a 17/18 smoked my frog on the backside of the point reeds.  My hand was nowhere near the reel handle. I worked us all the way into the thick reedline.  I don't remember if we caught anything or not. The rain stayed to the South of us.

We went back into Platte and worked the rice in Channel Inn Bay. I got the big bass of the morning before the 1st boat channel.  It was pretty much dead in CIB except for a few pike.  Dad called me and informed me it was Ruby's day, so I dropped Jaimen off and headed in.

Due to the rents going to Pierz I got a late start tonight. I missed a couple topwater hits and a couple hits on the craw tube catching one little bass on the Craw Tube. I then went across from the Access in Platte.  There was a net set out there beyond the reeds. I went to the shallow edge of the cane. There was baitfish activity, but I was disappointed in the bite.  I got one dink on the craw tube and a 14-incher and the 17.25" on Bobby's Perfect. I also had a good fish miss the BP where I got the 17-incher.  I threw back with craw tube and had something that felt smaller pick it up that I had on for a few seconds before it came off.  The skeeters get pretty fierce around 9:45PM or so.

I picked up Jaimen at his dock around 5:50AM and headed to the SPSI. Jaimen was throwing a jig and quickly had a bass in the boat.  Unfortunately, his rod broke when he was landing the fish. I got a pike on the Poison. Then we doubled up with a couple of bass with both fish jumping multiple times.  We both got a couple more bass a piece before the action slowed. I got bit off once and Jaimen caught the clam. We went and tried the rice for a while.  Jaimen had a few blow-ups and got 1 pike.  I didn't get a single hit. The rain was approaching so I dropped Jaimen off and headed home.  Before I got to the small island the motor bogged down. I ended up limping the boat home at 3 to 4 mph.  Should have started with fresh gas in the tank.  Water probably got in the tank.
