Couple Fish Off the Dock
Fixing rods today. Had a knot up the line cut the line and caught the little goober. I also caught a small perch. Didn' take the pontoon out due to the wind.

Neices Swimmin' and Belle fished for a bit.
2:30-4:30PM Went to the far side of the north end of the big island. It was windy out of the East. The three nieces swam and played the lily pad most of the time. Belle came up and fished when she got out of the water catching a couple of perch. Devin drew pictures and Mal swam until we left. Getting the pontoon on the lift was easier than Todd thought it would be.

Todd Got Some Sunfish
7:50-8:20PM East of Jenny's
Conditions: 70℉, Partly Cloudy, Calm (Had been very windy all day out of the West)
Water Temp: 72℉
The wood on the trolling motor bracket gave way thankfully while Todd was using the motor, not while I was taking the girls out tubing this afternoon. If it would have happen then chances are it would be on the bottom of the lake. Todd was able fairly quickly make a new one and we mounted the 36lb thrust Minn Kota Endura on it that I had sitting in the boat house. Because it would soon be dark I headed East of Jenny's. Todd missed a few hits on the Terminator Frog. I had the tail on the SSKO get chewed off on the best strike I got. I also had a pike break off a craw tube. There were people up on the porch watching all this happen and adding some encouragement. We ended up not catching anything.
Todd did get 6 sunfish while fishing off the dock before I took the girls out tubing so it wasn't a skunk for the day. He found a worm on shore and caught the sunfish lickity split.

Topwater With Todd/Slow Evening With the Crew
Early Start This Morning
18.75" Hexa Chinooki (Cotton Candy)
Another Shower Blows Knock Off the Hexa Chinooki
18" SBKO (Black Herring Bone)
16.75" Chinooki
10.5" SBKO
We then headed to the South Point of the Big Island. I caught 15" bass there and Todd missed one that boiled on the Terminator Frog. Then we went to F Flat and I got a couple of small pike on the Chinooki. Todd got a small pike on the Shower Blows knock off. We went to North end of the reeds across the way and Todd got the crappie there on the SBKO. We fished the reeds a little bit. I left the Shower Blows box open and it dumped over completely. Our fishing time was up, so we headed in. I got the lures untangled and back in the box as Todd got the girls ready to go to the pancake breakfast at mom and Dad's church.
I got home from the pancake breakfast and took a short nap. Todd called letting me know they got out the big inflatable island, so i could rest a couple of hours longer, which I foolishly didn't do. Isabelle called for me to come up at about 12:15PM. I took the girls tubing for a couple of hours. Then they went and played on the inflatable island and I took a nap on the Trophy. Mom brought dinner and I took Kaylee back in her car and got gas. We had brats and hamburgers. I then took out Belle and Mallory on the inflatable that Dad bought. Belle didn't care for it. Mallory liked it. And Sophia didn't try it.

12" Armor Worm on Ike's Wacky Head
19" Pure Poison/Swim Fluke Jr.
14.9" Terminator Frog
16" Mad Maxx
It was a hot day with temps in the upper 80's. I took the girls tubing for a good portion of the afternoon. We went to the Mann Cave for pizza. I took the girls out for another short trip on the tube and then we all headed out fishing.
Mallory 1st on the board
A second after the pike flopped off the spinnerbait
It landed in the boat
Mallory's Sunfish for her dad
Belle's 1st landed fish of the trip
Belle settled down and got in a rhythm getting two pike
I caught a total of 4 Pike, Mal got 4 Sunfish, Belle got the Sunfish and was credited with 3 pike.
It really turned into an ideal night for fishing.

Fishin' With Todd & The Girls
7" Puddle Jumper/Worm
Conditions: 80℉, Partly Cloudy, Light SE wind
Water Temp: Mid 70's
We got the pontoon boat launched today, but it wasn't ready for prime time. It only started at full speed in forward and steering directions are reverse from normal were a couple of the major issues. Dad worked on it while I took the girls out tubing behind the Trophy. Boat traffic crashed at about 4:30 as people ended there holiday weekend. At about 6PM I was ready for a break and needed to get more gas, so I went and did that. We had dinner after I got back. Todd had put a hole in the tube, so there was no more tubing tonight. Instead I took Todd and the nieces out fishing.
8" Puddle Jumper/Worm
Terminator Frog
Isabelle Grace
9" Beetle Spin/Puddle Jumper/Worm
8" Puddle Jumper/Worm
6.5" Puddle Jumper/Worm
At around 9:10PM I took the boat out from West Point to get a look at the sunset, but there was a thick cloud bank on the horizon so we couldn't see it. I took the bobber off of 'the snoopy pole" and we got a few gills vertical jigging. A fun time was had by all.
