More Fishing With Todd & The Girls

10.75" SBKO
A thunderstorm prevented Todd and I from getting out at first light.  I went to the GOMH about a half hour after the rain stopped.
12" Armor Worm on Ike's Wacky Head
I caught a bunch of dinks there.  I then went and woke Todd up and we went out for about an hour and a half; That is when the first picture was taken.
19" Pure Poison/Swim Fluke Jr.

14.9" Terminator Frog

16" Mad Maxx
I took Todd out to South Point Small Island for some topwater fishing.  A few small fish lightly hit at the Pompadour.  I then gave Todd a lesson on walking the dog with the Shower Blows knock off.  He had one good blow up miss it, one good one get off and he caught the dink in the very first picture.  We then headed to Loon Sex where we both got a bass on frogs.  The sun came out and we had to head in.

It was a hot day with temps in the upper 80's.  I took the girls tubing for a good portion of the afternoon.  We went to the Mann Cave for pizza.  I took the girls out for another short trip on the tube and then we all headed out fishing.
Mallory 1st on the board
A second after the pike flopped off the spinnerbait
It landed in the boat
Mallory's Sunfish for her dad
Belle's 1st landed fish of the trip
Belle settled down and got in a rhythm getting two pike
Todd had plenty of blow ups, but didn't land a fish.  Mallory had pity on him and landed a fish just for her Dad.  Isabelle had a good size pike hit on the buzzbait she was fishing subsurface.  I didn't see how big it was.
I caught a total of 4 Pike, Mal got 4 Sunfish, Belle got the Sunfish and was credited with 3 pike.

It really turned into an ideal night for fishing.

Fishin' With Todd & The Girls

7" Puddle Jumper/Worm
8:15-9:25PM Out Front In the Trophy
Conditions: 80℉, Partly Cloudy, Light SE wind
Water Temp: Mid 70's
We got the pontoon boat launched today, but it wasn't ready for prime time.  It only started at full speed in forward and steering directions are reverse from normal were a couple of the major issues.  Dad worked on it while I took the girls out tubing behind the Trophy.  Boat traffic crashed at about 4:30 as people ended there holiday weekend.  At about 6PM I was ready for a break and needed to get more gas, so I went and did that.   We had dinner after I got back.  Todd had put a hole in the tube, so there was no more tubing tonight.  Instead I took Todd and the nieces out fishing.
8" Puddle Jumper/Worm
I took us out to the inside turn on our side of Jenny's reeds. Mallory was the first to catch a fish.  She hooked and landed it all by herself.
Terminator Frog
Todd had a blow up that missed his frog.  A few casts later he got the pike from a different area.
Isabelle Grace
9" Beetle Spin/Puddle Jumper/Worm
Isabelle didn't want to be left out and wasn't when she landed this crappie.  My memory card was full after I took the picute of her holding the fish.  I had to erase a few pictures to get the final one's of the night.

6.5" Puddle Jumper/Worm

At around 9:10PM I took the boat out from West Point to get a look at the sunset, but there was a thick cloud bank on the horizon so we couldn't see it.  I took the bobber off of 'the snoopy pole" and we got a few gills vertical jigging. A fun time was had by all.

1st Silver Bullhead of the Year

Today Pete and I fished from about 1 to 3PM at Jenny's, Don's, Rock, and the GOMH.  I saw some small sunfish at Rock and a little pike and I presumably had my pink Cubby and a minnow bit off by a pike.  We saw  Kuske at the bridge.  That was it for action.

We headed back out at 6PM

When we got there was 2 guys fishing the SE side.  That got a jumpin bullhead and told us crappies were biting at Little Rock Lake.

Pete was 1st on the board with a jumpin bullhead.  He got it on a beetle spin.
3lber
Next up was me getting a high 4lb JB on my Panfish Chatterbait. Chatterbait is in it's lip.
A while after that Pete and I got doubles on 2lb jumpin bullheads.  Another guy showed up and started fishing the SE with me.  He was at the steps and I was on the Eastern shore.  He caught a jumper on his minnow and I went back to the SW side with Pete.  The other guy got a couple more jumpers and I missed a bite on my glow Cubby and minnow.  An Eagle flew over and circled and then we noticed another Eagle up in a tree just to the West of us.  Eventually I got another bite and it was quality silver bullhead.
A little while later I got another on the Cubby.  Kevin Wotceck showed up and said he was getting fish at Fish Lake;  He didn't fish.  The guy across the way got a silver which he ended up giving to us.  I didn't get any bites on the lighted bobber and Pete was so busy messing around with his to be worthless.  One other guy came by and saw we were getting fish.  I expect their will be a crowd tomorrow provided it doesn't rain.
